Deaths due to accidents at work in 1974 where over 650 here in Great Britain this figure is now under 200 people a year. That is really good but these figures are real people. The numbers don’t tell the whole story.

What a dramatic fall in numbers does tell us is that health and safety law has made a very positive impact on issues of workplace safety
